I BELIEVE IN LAUGHTER

In this sthort story, I laughed a little, because its  true that you should always learn to laugh at yourself. I laugh at myself to keep the pain away, or even the embarrassment. People should learn to do that every now and then because laughing is healthy. I love that she was able to enjoy the old memories, that she was able to laugh at them, even when at those times she should have cried. I believe you should never let things to get the best of you. If  you fall then you should pick yourself up, dust yourself off and laugh about it. Its the laughter that brings out the best in people. For example; I was in 7th grade and I was getting off the bus to go to school and I slipped on black ice right after I got off. Everyone was asking if I was okay. I just threw y head back started laughing and everyone else started to laugh. My mom  always told me " You got to laugh, to keep from crying" and she was right.

I SHALL OVERCOME MY FEARS RESPONSE

My views of reading this short story " I shall overcome my fears", was about fear and how it controlls our lives. I believe that statement is correct, because I know from my own experiences that I dont do certian things ,because I'm scared to do them. For example; I was afraid of being on the cheerleading team because, I was afraid to mess up a cheer and get laughed off the field. Fear is our natural emotion for us, because we are born with it. But in this story, the man is a homosexual that was in the United States Submarien Force.Being a homosexual, he had fear of acceptance from anyone, because he was different from the averange male type. His fear took control of him to limit things that he thought he couldn't do because people were telling him that he couldn't. Fear is the four letter word that controlls ever human on the planet. It just depends on what you do with it, do you set it aside and not let it get the best of you? Or do you let it take over your life?

Being Followed...

My friend Robin and I, went to the Food Court in the Polaris Fashion Mall. Robin wanted to get some food, so I waited for her at the table. The table was surrounded by parents, kids, old people, teens and ultimate creepers. There were these two men around the age of 40, that were at a table diagonal from were our table was. I saw them both staring at me and at first I thought it was nothing. Then, I look back and their smiling at me and I am pretty sure that they waved me to come over. My palms were starting to sweat, and I could just hear the drips of water hitting the ground. Time suddenly, seemed to stop and I couldnt move. Robin comes back and asks me "What's wrong?" and when I finally turn my head to look her I tell her " Those men are looking at us, please hurry and eat." She tries to turn her head but I stop her by taking a bit of her pizza, which of coarse makes her turn her head back at me. I said "Hurry up, so we can leave." she says " I will." and when she is done with her pizza we leave to go shopping. When I look back to see if they are still at the table only ,one of the men are sitting there and he looks back to where the bathroom is. I said "Okay we can get away, since they aren't looking at us".
Robin and I are in American Eagle looking around in the clearence section then suddenly I look up and  see the two men again. They are acting like they are looking around the men's things staring at us. I poke Robin and show her  that they are there creeping on us and Robin says "Let's go." Then we are out of the store as quickly as possible. I look back and we are still in the clear, and we forget about it after being in a few stores like Delia's, Tropical Trends, Macy's, and Sear's. When we are heading outside we go to Forever 21, and that is whenI see the men again in there black leather jackets, looking like ultimate creepers. I was starting to run along with Robin into Forever 21. We told the people in the store that we had been followed and we gave the description of the men. I told her " One man is about my height, grey hair, and blue eyes. The other one was tall like 6 ft. with brown hair, and brown eyes. both of them caucasion and around the age of 40." The woman saw them enter and called the secutrity into the building and the men were taken away and signs were put up saying that they weren't allowed to go to the mall ever again until a certian amout of months. They are now posted as " Child predators." The relief poured over mine and Robin's faces. Case closed.

WATER

One hot summer day in July, the soccer team was on a run at Alam Creek. We did a 8 mile run around and also did satirs, which is when you run up and down stairs. Sweat is pouring from our foreheads dripping down to the ground. The sun was at it's highest point of the day which was noon, and it was burning my skin, darkening it by the second. I could see nothing but blurry shapes because the sun was so hot. Water were the words that were screaming in everyone's head. Either everyone had already finished there water or they barely  had anything to share. Water was the word that was weakening us by not being able to keep up with our coach that was far enough away that we could only see a portion of where she was. When we were heading back to the soccer fields, everyone was able to see the fountain, the only fountain that was there at the soccer fields. Somone called out " I get the water first!" and we all began to argue with each other. Than we started to sprint towards the fountain, fighting over it because of the thirst that was taking over us. We began to spray each other with  the hose that we found on the other side of the fountain and water was splashing everywhere. All of us were on the ground laughing as we tried to fight to be under the hose. That was one of the hardest practices but yet the best practice ever.

CHAIR

As I walk into the room before the late bell rings doomed already because of the long 55 minute period of Goverment class that I had to sit through. Listening to Mrs. Advent talk on and on. I am just sitting there in my blue chair day dreaming about the following year of finally being a senior. Ms. Advent calls on me to answer some question about " My opinion on a democracy" she might has well just walked over and popped my dream bubble with a needle instead of an easy question. I give her my answer and continue to stare at the clock just waiting for the class to be over. Every minute seemed like a century and I just could not take it anymore and thats when a BOOM went. I turned around and the class trouble maker had been on the floor and dying of laughter. Then, I saw another kid standing next to him with the chair in his hand clearly he had pulled the chair from underneath of him. The room was filled with laughter and Ms. Advent's face turned red and all I remember was this vibration of agry words coming from her mouth. It was the very blue chair that I sat in that had a front row seat to any fun that i would ever have in Ms. Advents Government room.
