Turkey Day

Thanksgiving day was a slow and long day. My mom and I were completely drained from the day before from cleaning the entire house. My mom and I still had to go to the Tuttle Mall to get my grandma to bring her to the house. When we got to Tuttle Mall my grandma was there with her friend waiting for us. Her face lit up when she saw us pull up to the Mall. We got out of the car and hugged her, and grabbed her bags. We said goobye to her friend and were back in the car on the way back home. My gradma sat in the front seat and talked about how she missed being with us. My mom said " We are glad to have to see you too." We haen't seen my grandma in months and it was good to have her over for a few nights of break. We continued with regular conversation about how everyone was doing and what have we all been up to.20 minutes later we get back to the house and the cooking begins. We started cooking around 11:30 and we still had to bake the turkey that took 4 hours to cook. While waiting for the turkey to cook we all watched charlie brown episodes and christmas movies on ABC Family.I helped my mom cook everything because she couldn't be on her feet for too long since she is pregnant. We made turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, apple pie, pumpkin rolls, green beans, greens, and mac and cheese from scratch. When everything was done we all sat down at 5::30 ish we all sat down and said grace and began to eat. It was a fantastic Thanksgiving day.
